At Airbus' A320 Family Assembly Line groundbreaking ceremony in Mobile on Monday, Jetblue President and CEO Dave Barger announced that Jetblue Airways will receive the first Mobile-assembled A320 in 2016.

The new factory, scheduled to begin assembling A319s, A320s, and A321s in 2015, is expected to produce up to four aircraft per month. Airbus expects as many as 1,000 workers to be employed at that rate.

According to Aviation Week Intelligence Network's Fleet database, Jetblue Airways currently has 14 A320s, 40 A320 NEO and 30 A321 NEOs on order.
