Posted by Rupa Haria 4:08 AM on Apr 04, 2013

Airbus exceeded its own sales target by 40% in 2012, and now, more than two months ahead of the Paris air show, it is already close to its 2013 target of 700 orders.

The European manufacturer has booked 431 410 firm orders so far this year, mostly for narrowbodies, plus it has outstanding MOUs for a total of 184 narrowbodies from Lufthansa and Turkish, both of which are expected to be confirmed before the Paris air show.

Firm orders for the New Engine Option (NEO) now stand at 2,068. Here's our breakdown.
