Qatar Airways took delivery of its first Airbus A330F in December, a new A330-200F leased from BOC Aviation. The aircraft was originally destined for Yangtze River Express Airlines, but that airline has apparently decided not to take the aircraft. The aircraft is still at Toulouse undergoing work before being ferried to Doha. Yangtze River Express Airlines originally agreed to lease five A330-200Fs from BOC Aviation, but only leased one. The second went to Hong Kong Airlines and Qatar Airways is to lease the remaining three. According to Aviation Week Intelligence Network's Fleet database, Qatar Airways already operates seven freighters consisting of three A300-600Fs and four 777Fs. Another four 777Fs are on order.
