An Argentinean judge blocked the government from evicting LAN Argentina on Aug. 28, and then the CEOs of LAN and LAN Argentina met with with high-ranking government officials from Argentina on Aug. 29 to get assurances of the airline's operation in the country.

These actions, combined with airline unions in the country that threatened to strike if the 10-day eviction notice went through today, allowed LAN Argentina to stay in its 2,500 sq. meter hangar at Aeroparque airport in Buenos Aires--at least for now.

Here's a detailed story in the Aviation Week Intelligence Network about it.

Given the recent baggage handler work stoppage and the hangar threat, is there another disruption in the future for LAN Argentina? Hopefully bad news doesn't come in threes, as the saying goes.
