Lie-flat seats are part of Delta's plan to revitalize the Boeing 747-400s that mainly fly from Tokyo-Narita, the Atlanta-based carrier said earlier this week. It aims to retrofit its 16 747-400 BusinessElite cains with the seats between next summer and 2012. It also will install new Economy class seats.

Once the installations are finished, Delta says all of its Boeing 777s, 767s and 747s will feature full flat-bed seats.
