Fokker Services bagged a two-year deal to provide Dash 8-300 component support to SA Express, the service provider announced. The deal, which includes a three-year option, is the fifth for Fokker supporting Dash 8s. SA Express has seven Dash 8-300s.
The deal was announced at the Air Africa 2010 Conference in Johannesburg. And while we're not typically big on signing-ceremony publicity shots, this one merits an exception because of that cool booth backdrop:
We're pretty sure that's a Fokker Spin
, which was the first plane built by Anthony Fokker.
(Fokker Services identified Ramon Vahed of SA Express (right) and Erik Geertsema of Fokker Services (left) seated at the table inking the deal. They didn't mention the Spin--or the gentleman standing behind the table.)
