Wencor has been on a mini acquiring spree this August. The aircraft part manufacturer and distributer announced earlier this month that it had acquired AmSafe Aftermarket Spares and Services from the TransDigm Group. About a week earlier, Wencor had announced that it had acquired Absolute Aviation Services and Soundair Aviation Services in an effort to expand its repair offerings in preparation for next generation aircraft platforms. The latest acquisition will expand Wencor’s product rather than repair offerings. AmSafe distributes products such as filters, lighting, nets and communications and safety equipment, among others. Wencor, meanwhile, specializes in seals, hardware and hose distribution, along with a variety of other parts.
