Of the approximately 1,000 emails I received this week (I am not exaggerating this number), here are a few interesting tidbits for you this Friday--a day when many of you are either flying home from, or simply recovering from, the robust Singapore Airshow.

    In no particular order,

ST Aerospace and Aeroism signed an MOU to develop advanced maintenance training systems for support most Airbus and Boeing aircraft. The software will be for basic engineering and type courses certified by Singapore and EASA.

LMI Aerospace received the 2011 supplier of the year from Aviation Partners Boeing. LMI's Savannah facility provides parts kits and subassemblies for blended winglets.

Bombardier will open a service center in Singapore initially catering to business jets, but a spokeswoman told me the operation will also be able to service regional jets and CSeries aircraft if there's a demand.

Sabena technics finished an Airbus A310 cabin modification and livery painting for Phoenix Aircrft Leasing, and also signed a license with Boeing to provide VIP aircraft completions.

GMF AeroAsia selected AJ Walter Aviation to provide integrated consumables management for its Boeing 737NGs.

Rockwell Collins established an asset management program with China Eastern Aviation Import Export Corp. that should expedite the clearance of parts in and out of the country.

There you have it--a few items from my inbox.
