IATA, ICAO, FAA and the EU have signed a "declaration of intent" to share safety data, including what's collected from the organizations' safety audits. IATA says the first step is standardizing audit information so that it's both usable and compliance with "local privacy laws and policies" is maintained. Target completion window for that step is 12-18 months.
