The U.S. Navy awarded Bell-Boeing Tiltrotor four delivery orders worth $204.48 million to provide V-22 spare components. The Department of Defense expects the work to be done by March 2010.
The Naval Inventory Control Point manages the contract, funds for which will not expire at the end of the year.
Two days before, Bell Helicopter announced that it delivered the third aircraft in the H-1 upgrade program, which calls for 100 UH-1Y and 180 AH-1Z aircraft.
Bell Helicopter assembled that UH-1Y utility helicopter at its Amarillo, Texas, facility, which also delivered two V-22 Ospreys in February.
