MRO Asia is rolling right along, and with another major airshow going on in the region, there's no shortage of news. Here's a roundup of some recent MRO-related announcements:

SR Technics reports that it is expanding its Singapore-based Single Component Services (SCS) operation. SCS, which provides parts for Airbus A320s, A330s, A340s, Boeing 737s and Embraer E-Jets, has some 2,000 parts in stock.

Shanghai Pratt & Whitney Aircraft Engine Maintenance Company Limited, a joint venture between the engine OEM and China Eastern Airlines, is teaming up with Shanghai Civil Aviation College to collaborate on apprenticeships and advance license training programs. The collaboration is China's first between an MRO provider and a university, the OEM reports...

Rockwell Collins and China Eastern Airlines have extended their joint venture (JV), Collins Aviation Maintenance Services Shanghai Limited (CAMSSL), for ten years. The JV, established in 2003, provides service and support for communication, navigation, sensor, display, flight control computer, weather radar and in-flight entertainment systems...

Lufthansa Technik's Innovation Business Unit has begun production deliveries of its nice(r) HD cabin management and in-flight entertainment (CMS/IFE) system for the Learjet 70 and 75. The system puts 7-inch pop-up HD displays at seats not located next to emergency exits.
