Scrolling through the list of 14 executives, seven from United and seven from Continental, that have been nominated to serve as senior VPs at the merged carrier, I noticed the name of Jim Keenan, currently SVP of United Services. Jim moved back to the West Coast and United in 2008 after several years at Pratt & Whitney, where he was senior VP and GM of Pratt's Global Services Partners. Jim had a lot to do with Pratt successfully expanding its MRO footprint. It will be interesting to see how he bridges the gap between two different airline MRO cultures.
