  • EASA Emergency AD: Non-conforming ATR 72 Rudder Pedal Rods
Posted by Sean Broderick 7:21 PM on Apr 01, 2010

Up to seven ATR-72s could be flying around with a non-conforming rudder pedal rod, according to an EASA emergency AD out today (AD 2010-0063-E). The error occurred in manufacturing, according to the AD.

Most suspect rods have either been found or are with acceptable limits. Those that aren't can break and cause the rudder pedal to stick, as two recent in-service incidents revealed.
