EASA this week issued guidance on complying with its June 2 airworthiness directive ordering testing of Koito seats. The guidance outlines how operators can apply the "similarity" concept, which allows use of static and dynamic test results from some in-service seats to others, similar seats. EASA has developed "seat clusters" for each airframe OEM.
