GE's Customer Technical Education Center (CTEC) near Cincinnati, Ohio, has launched line maintenance training courses for the M601E turboprop engine.

It held the first course in late March. Classroom and hands-on training covers inspections, layout and operations, engine airflow, oil systems and components, fuel systems and components, exhaust systems, reduction gearboxes, air inlet, compressor section, power turbine section, engine maintenance practices and general troubleshooting.

In addition to serving as the North American training center for the M601, CTEC will be the training center for the H80 engine as well.
