  • NTSB: 737 Classic Elevator Control System Needs Re-design

    NTSB Monday issued a recommendation letter calling on FAA to order Boeing to modify the elevator control system on its 737-300s, -400, and -500s and "develop a method" to protect the elevator power control unit from jamming due to FOD. The agency also called on Boeing to develop upset-recovery training aids to help pilots combat a jammed elevator.
