We're just a few days short of the one-year point when Aveos abruptly shuttered its doors, leaving Air Canada without its major MRO provider and a lot of people without jobs. Fast forward to today, when AJ Walter's new company, AJW Technique in Montreal, received EASA Part 145 maintenance organization approval and planned to ship its first repaired component. AJ Walter bought Aveos Fleet Performance component repair business in September 2012 and hoped to launch repair operations in the first quarter of this year. Kudos AJW Technique--you did it. (The new component repair hub for the company earlier received Transport Canada and FAA approval.)
