Here is EASA's airworthiness directive that tells the rest of the story (or most of it, anyway) on the Dassault Falcon 7X grounding. EASA's follow-up emergency AD (.pdf) fingers "a production defect in the Horizontal Stabilizer Electronic Control Unit," noting that it "could" have contributed to the runaway stabilizer event that led to the model's grounding last month. As reported earlier this week by colleague Kerry Lynch, Dassault has come up with two modifications to help mitigate the risk of additional events; the OEM and investigators are contenting their probe.
