Bombardier plans to acquire ExelTech Aerospace's Saint-Laurent facilities and starting completing business jets there this fall. A Bombardier spokeswoman told me the settlement value is confidential and there's a 10 grace period before the deal will be officially approved. What made the facility attractive to Bombardier? Easy. It's literally across the street from Bombardier's Global Completion Center, which the manufacturer has been hoping to expand for awhile. "I literally can look out the window and see it," said spokeswoman Haley Dunne. On April 28, Pemco World Air Services announced it was buying most of bankrupt ExelTech Aerospace's tooling, equipment and inventory.
