After parking its Boeing 747-400 fleet for the last year, with its tight financial times, Lufthansa is putting the jumbo aircraft back into service. [Photo credit: Boeing]Today when I visited Lufthansa Technik's airframe maintenance hangars in Hamburg, a recently serviced 747-400 was parked just outside the hangar following heavy maintenance.Lufthansa has around 3-4 of the aircraft parked now, estimates Wolfgang Reinert, who works in communications for Lufthansa Technik.
