CASA is spearheading a general aviation safety task force, the agency reports. Sounds like it'll be quite comprehensive--the first area of interest is the agriculture sector. CASA Eastern Region ops manager Peter John will head up the effort, which kicks off next month and is expected to last two years.Here's a pretty good statistical overview of aviation safety in Australia in the decaded ending in June 2009; it's put out by ATSB and doesn't have a "general aviation" category, but it offers very detailed views of multiple sectors.
