    Leading Edge has merged with Associated Painters. The two companies will keep their own branding and leadership, but the new partnership offers a broadened footprint to their customers in the U.S., reducing the costs associated with ferrying aircraft to offline locations.

    Aero Maintenance Group, a subsidiary of AFI KLM E&M, has signed a CRJ component support contract with new French carrier Hop!. The multiple year agreement covers Hop!’s fleet of CRJ-200, CRJ-700 and CRJ-700s.

    Spirit Airlines has signed a four-year airframe related components deal with Lufthansa Technik for 28 of its 49 A320-family aircraft. The contract covers MRO support for Spirit’s V2500 thrust reversers.  Lufthansa Technik will support Spirit at its Fort Lauderdale base.

    AJ Walter has signed a five-year deal to provide power-by-the hour support for Tajikistani Somon Air’s two Boeing 737 Classics.

    Vibration Solutions North, a subsidiary of Moscow Mills, is opening a new rotor balancing facility in Stowe, Vermont. The facility is equipped to balance any rotor up to 100 in. and 5,000 lb.
