PiperJet Altaire Mockup Debut
Putting a spring into the step of delegates leaving after EBACE’s final day, Canadian business aviation services provider Zenith Jet has just forecast a stronger-than-previously-expected recovery from business aviation’s present recession. Its 2011-2020 prognosis includes 11,103 deliveries with a value of $240 billion, equivalent to a 15percent compounded annual growth. Notable in the report was an increase in demand for long-range and large-cabin business jets in emerging markets. Demand for light and midsize business jets is expected to remain temporarily weak, but production levels will ramp up quickly as the market recovers. Zenith says opportunities exist for OEMs to develop new, clean-sheet designs, as existing airframes are increasingly unlikely to yield successful derivatives. A more detailed report is available from www.zenithjet.com.
