Cobham has teamed up with Carson Helicopters to offer an avionics upgrade for Sikorsky S-61 and S-76 helicopters, which could also be applied to UH-60 Black Hawk derivatives.This is what the upgrade should look like, which includes the provision of synthetic vision flight displays:(Photo: Cobham)Other features included include an integrated hazard alerting, advanced flight management system, distance measuring system, and geo-referenced hover vector display and digital engine monitoring.The avionics suite will first be certified on the S-61, and then on the S-76 and UH-60.
