  • India Eyes Construction of Private Airports

    India is preparing to open 500 airports by 2020, including plans to open its first regional private airport next year, reports the Business Standard.   “It is estimated that Indian aviation will see an investment of about $120 billion over the next few years. There is a need for infusion of capital into the aviation sector to keep up with the booming demand. RAHI will work in tandem with the government’s plans and fuel growth in the sector,” said Sandeep Mendiratta, Head - Aviation Business - ITNL & Member of the Board - RAHI.

    China's government is showing the love to general aviation by hosting the upcoming five-day AOPA-China General Aviation Summit in Beijing, reports AOPA Online. The summit includes representatives from Chinese civil and military aviation officials, a two-day forum on the country’s low-altitude economy, and the first GA fly-in in the country.
