The Royal Netherlands Air Force's (RNLAF) 323rd Fighter Squadron at Leeuwarden air base has been hosting this year's Exercise Frisian Flag since 15 April.

The large-scale multinational exercise includes combat aircraft from Belgium, Germany, Finland, the Netherlands, Poland and Sweden, as well as NATO E-3A airborne warning and control systems (AWACS), U.S. Air Force and RNLAF tankers and surface-to-air missile systems. A nice video of participating aircraft landing and taking off has been posted on YouTube.

For two weeks, participants will practice combined air operations.
