Lockheed Martin announced the first successful live warhead ground-launch test of the Direct Attack Guided Rocket (DAGR) guidance kit for the 2.75-inch rocket. The test was conducted at Eglin Air Force Base, Fla., and demonstrated vehicle penetration and the DAGR's time-delayed fuzing feature.

DAGR was developed with Lockheed Martin internal funds. The system includes the rocket and four-pack container that mounts on HELLFIRE-compatible launchers aboard rotary-wing platforms like the Cobra, Apache, Seahawk, Kiowa and Tiger.
