Adding fuel to yesterday's Ares discussion about the developmental effort that has to go into fielding the Swiss Gripen, a few details have emerged about what the Swiss air force's JAS-39E/F Gripen NG will include: One element, and this was always the most obvious one, is the use of the General Electric F414G engine.The other is that Switzerland has opted for the Active Electronically Scanned Array radar.
