Argentinian air force pilots have been proudly wearing an interesting patch on their sleeves during the Fidae air show, raising eyebrows particularly among some of the British contingent here:But the Argentinians aren’t the only ones making noise on the eve of the 30th anniversary of the Falklands War.The U.K. National Defense Association has issued a report warning that defense cuts mean the islands would fall in case of another attack. “Britain would be hard put to defend, reinforce or retake the Falklands,” the group claims.Perhaps more critical for U.K. industry is that Argentina appears to have public sympathy in much of Latin America for its position, and observers here believe the row could make it more difficult for governments to opt for British equipment competing for contracts.
