I didn't realize that the Royal Netherlands Air Force (RNLAF) has an Apache Solo Display Team, but I won't be able to see it fly, at least not this year. The Netherlands Ministry of Defense announced last week that the team would not participate in air shows or other events because the RNLAF doesn't have the resources to do so. All RNLAF Apaches and their pilots are tied down by exercises and training.Netherlands Ministry of Defense photoLast year, the Apache Solo Display Team won the overseas flying display during the Royal International Air Tattoo at the British Royal Air Force base at Fairford and best overall helicopter flying display at Royal Naval Air Station Yeovilton. The RNLAF's Solo Display Team has however begun a new season, albeit with a reduced team at fewer shows. The Netherlands Ministry of Defense has produced videos of both demonstration teams.
