Northrop Grumman says its X-47B unmanned combat air system demonstrator has flown up to 200kt and 7,500ft in its first three flights from Edwards AFB. A 49-flight envelope expansion phase is planned before the tailless aircraft moves east to NAS Patuxent River later this year to begin the work-up to carrier-based operations in 2013.
