The last of Austria’s 15 Eurofighter aircraft on order was handed over on the 24 September. The deal covering the acquisition was signed in July 2003.The Austrian Air Force is using the type in the air policing role, with the aircraft fitted with the Iris-T imaging infrared short-range air-to-air missile.
