The KC-30A tanker has now completed its first flight as an RAAF aircraft, the Australian defense department announced.(Photo: RAAF)Along with that milestone, the government has set late 2012 as the planned date for the KC-30A to reach its initial operational capability. At that time all five Airbus A330-200s being acquired as tankers should have been delivered.After many delays, the first two were handed over in June. Two more are due this year -- they are being converted by Qantas Defense Services.
