Some of the equipment being taken out of Dutch military service will be used for spare parts, Dutch Defense Minister Hans Hillen informed parliament on May 25, the day before the three-day Pentecost weekend in Europe. The spare parts of the 40 Fenneks and three PzH 2000s were found to be worth more than selling the two systems, and the F-16 spare parts are no longer available on the market. Remaining equipment still on sale includes three PzH 2000s, 15 F-16s, four mine countermeasures vessels, all 60 Leopard 2A6s, 14 Cougar transport helicopters, a DC-10 transport aircraft, and a supply ship.
