These images of today's SpaceShipTwo's first captive carriage flight test beneath the 140 ft-span wing of the Scaled Composites-built Virgin Galactic White Knight Two (WK2) mothership, give perhaps the best visual indication yet of the sheer scale of the sub-orbital project and its lofty ambitions.
