Bad weather has forced Cape Canaveral range officials to call off today’s attempted launch of the U.S. Air Force’s second X-37B Orbital Test Vehicle. Easterly winds have been gusting up to 28 kts and a line of rain-bearing cumulus clouds continued to run across the launch pad area right through the second launch window of the day which opened at 5.27 pm EST. The next launch attempt will be made tomorrow, Mar 5, although the weather forecast is not much better. The Boeing-built OTV-2, also known as the X-37B, is due to be boosted on a United Launch Alliance Atlas V rocket from Space Launch Complex-41 launch pad.
