CIT Aerospace is “seriously looking” at placing an order for the Boeing 787-10, Jeff Knittel, President CIT Transportation Finance, said on the sidelines of the Paris Air Show.
He considers the aircraft to be a “natural extension of the family.”
Boeing launched the aircraft with orders for 102 from five customers on Tuesday. All except one (Gecas) has also ordered the Airbus A350.
“That is a comment about that market segment,” Knittel argued. “It is growing faster than short-haul.”
Nevertheless CIT placed its first order for the Boeing 737 MAX. The lessor committed to 30 MAX 8s due for delivery in 2019 and 2020.
