Business may not be booming, but this year’s EBACE carries the message that there is still enough confidence in the market for fresh ventures to be launched and newly flown business aircraft to be shown to actual and prospective customers.
Taking a bow in the static park for their European premières are those New World débutantes, the Bombardier Learjet 75 and Embraer Legacy 500. Each manufacturer is eager to assure that all is now well, in the wake of recently announced program delays.
Fresh start-ups are rare these days, so EBACE especially welcomes on its home territory the Pilatus PC-24 business twinjet, the mockup unveiling of which will launch the show. Also being announced here is a relaunch of the Bombardier Challenger 300, with its Honeywell engines uprated to new HTF7300s, delivering that number of pounds of thrust.
