Size, Structure Of SkyWest’s Embraer Deal Intended To Attract More Feeder Contracts

SkyWest Inc. is the holding company for SkyWest Airlines and ExpressJet, and operates regional services under contracts with Alaska Airlines, American Airlines, Delta Air Lines, United and US Airways. Skywest Airlines will operate the 40 new E-175s for United Express.

The regional operator’s total fleet numbers about 740 airplanes, comprising nearly 450 Bombardier aircraft and about 290 from Embraer. That includes more than 260 50-seat Bombardier CRJ200 jets and 240 50-seat Embraer ERJ-145s.
